How does referee designation work?
For a club tournament, the organising club designates its own juge-arbitre — per the FFT padel competition guide.
Find your referee
Contact an available juge-arbitre (directory below, your network or your committee) and agree on the date and the fee.
Homologation request
The club names the chosen referee in its homologation request (ADOC / Moja).
The referee accepts
The juge-arbitre accepts the designation in the federal app (Moja).
The FFT validates
The FFT validates the tournament, which is published on Ten'Up. The referee must be present for the whole event.
Padel Clash only facilitates the introduction between clubs and referees: the official designation is made by the club in the homologation request (ADOC / Moja). Championships and interclub events, whose referee is designated by the league or committee, are out of scope of this directory.
How much does a padel referee cost?
A juge-arbitre is compensated through an allowance, plus travel and meal expenses. Each referee sets their own billing model: per number of teams, per hour, or a daily rate.
Indicative allowance: agreed with the referee
The rate depends on the referee: some bill per registered team, others per hour or as a daily rate. For a club tournament (P25 to P500), the observed ballpark is €40–80 per day depending on qualification (JAP1 or JAP2) and event category — excluding mileage and meals.
Indicative 2025/2026 figures — agree on the billing model with the referee up front. Payment is settled directly between the club and the referee: Padel Clash takes no commission.

JAP1, JAP2, JAP3: which referee for your tournament?
The referee's qualification must cover your event's category.
JAP1
Qualified to run any sanctioned competition from P25 to P100 within their département, plus departmental team events.
JAP2
Qualified from P25 to P1000 (tournaments and championships) within their league. Required as soon as your tournament exceeds P100.
JAP3
National level: P1500, P2000 and national competitions, designated outside the scope of this directory for most events.
