King of the Hill padel format

Climb the hill, defend court 1.

King of the Hill (also called Montante / Descendante or Winners Court) is a social and competitive padel format where courts are hierarchical. The winner of court 1 stays at the top, losers move down. Fast, dynamic, perfect for 8 to 16 players on 2 to 4 courts.

How it works

1. Pairs are randomly placed across courts in round 1.

2. Each round lasts 15 minutes (or a short set). Courts are numbered from 1 (top) to N (bottom).

3. Court 1 winner stays. Loser drops one court. Winners of middle and bottom courts move up. Loser of the bottom court stays.

4. The pair on court 1 at the end of the last round is crowned King of the Hill.
